Annunciation of Our Lord Parish in Hamilton is looking for a part time Cleaner for the Church.  Reporting to the Parish Priest, this position requires a commitment to work the required hours with some flexibility when needed.

Hours  21 to 25 hours a week depending on seasonal and liturgical needs

Days    3 days a week from 7am to 2pm (unpaid lunch).

Primary responsibilities

-          Regularly vacuum and clean all surfaces around the building

-          Dust the Sanctuary and window sills

-          Clean office area once a week (mop, dust, wipe down counters etc.)

-          Clean the parish centre kitchen including stove when necessary.

-          Supply and stock bathrooms with soap, toilet, and paper towels as needed.

-          Order cleaning supplies as needed

-          Ensure Garbage, Recycling and Green bin are taken out to the curb on garbage day.

-          Empty garbage and recycling around the building as needed.

-          Light gardening (weeding/watering) during the spring and summer.

-          Salt and light shovelling as needed

-          Small maintenance and repair jobs (changing light bulbs, hanging pictures etc.)

-          Coordinating regular maintenance i.e. air conditioning/HVAC, Fire system, Pest control

-          Recognize maintenance issues as they arise

-          Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
