How You’ll Be Contributing:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet or exceed targets across Western Canada.
- Lead, coach, and support an experienced sales team through regular field visits, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and pet specialty retailers to strengthen Hagen’s market presence and drive long-term growth.
- Identify new business opportunities by staying informed on customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments.
- Continuously review and improve sales systems, processes, and ways of working to increase efficiency, visibility, and overall team performance.
- Explore and implement innovative tools, automations, and technology-driven solutions that support smarter decision-making and operational excellence.
- Represent Hagen Group at trade shows, customer meetings, conferences, and industry events across the region.
- Partner closely with Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams including Marketing and Operations to support regional business priorities and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, sales planning, and completion of sales-related documentation.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and strong customer relationships.
We'd Love to Hear from You if You Have:
- A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
- Tech savvy, excellent with systems, analytics, and AI.
- 5 + years of experience managing a team, with proven leadership skills to motivate, coach and lead a sales team.
- A strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel (20-30% travel required) and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong business acumen: experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
- In-depth understanding of industry trends and dynamics.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, collaboration and analytical skills. You are adaptable to a changing environment and take on challenges with an optimistic outlook.
- Knowledge of the consumer-packaged goods and pet specialty retail industry (an asset).
- Outstanding skills in needs analysis, business justification, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office, and Salesforce. (Elite an asset)
