HIRING NOW for On Call Snow Plow Driver to drive OUR trucks. None of your own equipment required - $35 / hour

YOU MUST:

- have a Driver's Licence - you will be driving a company plow (experience driving heavy machinery or a truck would be ideal)

- be available in the early AM hours or throughout the evening

- have a cell phone

HOW IT WORKS:

This position is *ON CALL*. You will ONLY be called upon immediately before/during/after forecasted snowfalls.

If the temperatures drop below 2 degree Celsius or a snowfall is predicted, we'll be laying down ice melt. If snow falls, we will be plowing. You are only required to meet at a CENTRAL LOCATION in Vancouver or near to transit.

This is a weather-dependent job that takes place anytime during the day, but mostly in the evenings or very early mornings. If there aren't shifts available for you to drive plows, you can still work as a snow blower operator or shoveller and earn this wage.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO:

are motivated, goal driven, and team-oriented
have a driver's license, capable of safely driving a company plow
will actively answer texts offering work (i.e. when the temp drops below 2C or it snows)
are available on-call throughout the winter season (the more you're available, the more likely you'll get shifts)
live in the Lower Mainland
are comfortable working in very cold temperatures
have appropriate cold weather protective clothing (i.e. waterproof boots, gloves, layers, waterproof jacket, etc)
are in good physical shape and health
are capable of shoveling snow for AT LEAST a 4 hour shift, but preferably 8 hours or more
