Job Summary  

Our Production Technicians are the heart of our operation—from propagation and plant maintenance, to watering and pest control, to trimming and packaging, they take pride in crafting premium products. No experience? No problem! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Following task specific procedures with care and accuracy. 
  • Supporting plant related activities under the direction of your Team Lead. 
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workspace, including sanitation of tools and materials.  
  • Supporting and collaborating with other teams as needed. 
  • Recording completed tasks to ensure traceability and compliance with regulations.  
  • Participating in training to be knowledgeable on the full cannabis life cycle, and to be up to date on our procedures and guidelines. 
  • Following regulatory requirements as per the Cannabis Act and Regulations, as well as GlassHouse Botanics Standard Operating Procedures. 

Depending on the position, you may have the opportunity to: 

  • Operate specialty cannabis equipment/machinery. 
  • Learn how to identify and diagnose mold/mildews, signs and symptoms of insect pests, and plant deficiencies.  
  • Obtain certification in handling pesticides in Ontario. 
  • Assist in the development of documents such as standard operating procedures and work instructions. 
  • Develop leadership skills that will be with you forever. 

Must Haves: 

  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Willingness to learn.  
  • Strong history of attendance and reliability. 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English. 
  • Ability to work in a team, and occasionally independently. 
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work on your feet for most of the day (standing and walking), or sitting for long periods of time. 

Bonus Points If You Have: 

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with strong attention to detail. 
  • Experience in a relevant field, such as agriculture or manufacturing.  
  • Experience working under EU GMP requirements. 
  • Experience or a keen interest in plants and/or science. 

Job Specific Demands: 

  • Willing to wear the provided uniform, and personal protective equipment as needed (i.e., respirator, eye protection, hearing protection).  
  • Must have reliable transportation.  
  • Our plants require watering seven days a week— three-hour weekend watering shifts occur on a rotating basis. Typically scheduled for one weekend day shift per month.  
  • Plants like heat and humidity, so based on the position, you may need to be comfortable working in a greenhouse environment.  
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
