Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional, the Assistant Professional will play a key role in the successful and efficient operation of the Golf Department. The successful candidate will be personable, professional, and highly customer-focused, with strong communication skills and a proven ability to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional as required, and perform other duties and special projects as assigned

• Lead by example, maintaining the highest standard of professionalism for the golf professional team and supporting golf services staff

• Assist with the organization and execution of golf activities, including events and tournaments, Men’s and Ladies’ leagues, and the reservation system

• Supervise and train back shop staff

• Provide support to on-course Food and Beverage operations

• Manage the tee sheet throughout daily operations

• Oversee merchandising and sales of all pro shop merchandise

• Supervise Players’ Assistants and monitor pace of play

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada

• Strong leadership skills, initiative, and a desire to grow within the profession

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Retail sales experience

• Proficiency with Tee-On and Golf Genius is considered an asset
