FoodShare may be able to accommodate requests for student placements and internships from time to time. FoodShare considers student placements and internships to be positions that are connected to an educational institution, i.e. a high school or post-secondary institution. These positions may be paid or unpaid, depending on funding availability.

Students interested in completing a student placement or internship at FoodShare must submit an application that includes: their resume, the requirements of their student placement/internship, what area(s) of FoodShare they would like to work with, and reflection about how their personal, educational, and/or career goals align with FoodShare's work via this application.

If we are able to accommodate submitted student placement or internship, our HR team or the related program team will follow up with the applicant and may request an interview. Successful applicants will then complete the intake process with the HR Coordinator.

Selected students and interns will be assigned a FoodShare supervisor who will work with them to establish a work plan and learning goals. Their FoodShare supervisor will also be responsible for signing off on time sheets and placement evaluations as required by the student/intern’s affiliated institution.

If you require accommodation when navigating the application process, please contact hr@foodshare.net.

If you are an internship program coordinator who supervises multiple students and would like to find out more about internships, please email hr@foodshare.net.
