Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team at the Vancouver retail store. The Barista will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness and ambiance of the café. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, a desire to learn, and a strong commitment to creating a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to Fable Café standards.
• Greet and assist customers, providing recommendations on menu items and answering any questions.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the café, coffee machines, and customer seating areas.
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring product freshness and quality.
• Assist in educating customers on sustainable practices and the Fable brand.
• Work collaboratively with the retail team to support the overall store experience.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a Barista in a quality cafe.
• Passion for coffee and knowledge of coffee brewing methods.
• Must be able to pour at least 3 different latte art shapes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve repetitive motion.
• Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
