We are currently seeking a Yield Manager to join our fast-growing team who can manage the advertising demand on the company's network of Enthusiast’s approximately 100 managed websites. Reporting to the Director of Monetization, the Programmatic Yield Manager plays a key role in the end-to-end management of advertising demand, ensuring that we meet our revenue targets. This position is ideally suited for an individual with a strong analytical skill set and strategic thinking coupled with effective communication and operations discipline.


What you will do:

Yield Management; Lead yield management efforts to optimize revenue across our network of websites, factoring in the impact of programmatic revenue

Optimization; Optimize publisher website performance within both open auction and PMPs, striving to consistently refine tactics and produce extraordinary results for our SSPs, DSPs, and publishers

Develop strategies; Drive development of quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new strategies and product rollout

Technical leadership; Identify new technologies and system development methodologies, partnering with internal teams to integrate programmatic demand into holistic ad decisioning strategy

Test pricing strategies; Conduct tests of pricing strategies in open auction designed to improve yield and grow overall revenue

Reporting; Report key monetization metrics for executives, sales and finance teams

Set pricing; Work closely with Product and Sales teams to create packaging guidelines and rationalize profitability and pricing of new media products, including pricing thresholds and ROI

Troubleshoot issues; You will be expected to troubleshoot issues that arise on a day to day basis within our programmatic ad stack, and you are expected to be on-call for occasional support to troubleshoot and address after hours issues

You are patient; We deal with complex issues that require numerous iterations, and we regularly beta test new product launches.

You are flexible; You will be juggling a lot of requests and you will need to calmly be able to prioritize them while ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.

You are an effective communicator; In a genuine way, you will need to ensure client and company expectations are met.


Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working at a digital publisher
  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or four years experience in a quantitative role
  • Fluent in excel
  • High level knowledge of the programmatic landscape, Google Ad Manager (or another ad server technology), header bidding, user-level data, and general digital media tracking/data
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in building financial models
  • Understanding of SQL and data extraction is a plus
