Senior Mobile Engineer

We are looking for a senior mobile developer interested in building performant mobile apps on IOS and Android. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

Responsibilities

• Build UIs across Android and iOS platforms.
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Make changes and necessary adjustments on existing applications.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge in JavaScript and TypeScript and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Experience with react native a plus
• Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean JS and TS code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like Xcode and AndroidStudio
• Understanding of REST APIs, NoSQL Databases like MongoDB
• Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha

• This is a full-time, remote-first role
• The salary for this role is CAD $130,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
