Dodds Garage Doors (Dodds) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Sales Manager who excels in a Business-to-Business (B2B) sales environment and is passionate about building and maintaining strong relationships with key commercial stakeholders. In this role, you will lead the sales team, develop strategic business plans, and manage client relationships within the commercial sector.
Your focus will be on selling to property managers, construction project managers, architects, designers, and maintenance supervisors. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, expanding into new verticals, and driving sales across both established and new territories. Additionally, you will promote Dodds' preventative maintenance program to ensure long-term customer retention and satisfaction.
As the Commercial Sales Manager, you will oversee a team of at least 8 direct reports across our Ontario offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, respond positively to pressure, and inspire the team to succeed. You will be a self-starter with a drive to get things done and will bring extensive experience in leading and developing field sales teams. A proven track record in driving sales growth and fostering high-performing teams in a competitive market is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Performance: Lead, mentor, and guide the field sales team by setting clear goals, expectations, and performance benchmarks.
· Hiring & Training: Recruit and train qualified sales professionals, equipping them with company policies, sales techniques, and product knowledge while providing ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
· Support: Advocate for team members’ professional growth by providing ongoing coaching and guidance.
· Culture: Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing, growth-focused team culture emphasizing continuous improvement.
· Strategy: Implement and execute creative strategic sales plans to align with and achieve organizational goals.
· Reports: Monitor team performance, analyze results, and deliver detailed reports to senior leadership, highlighting opportunities for optimization.
· Research: Leverage market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and enhance the sales funnel.
· Marketing: collaborate with marketing to create campaigns that align with sales goals and generate leads.
· Travel: visit Dodds offices across Ontario (day trips)
· CRM: establish data software to support the lead management generation, data store and sales forecasting cycle
Expectations for Success
· New maintenance contracts: Track the number of new maintenance contracts acquired and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach, marketing efforts, and customer acquisition strategies.
· Total Revenue: Monitor the total income generated from all sources during a specific period and assess its alignment with growth objectives.
· Total Gross Margin: Measure profitability by calculating revenue minus the cost of goods sold (COGS), reflecting the team’s efficiency in generating profit.
· Close Rate: Track the percentage of leads or opportunities successfully converted into sales, serving as a key indicator of the team’s ability to turn prospects into customers.
Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, 5x a week in office
