Director, ANZ - About this role
As Dig Insights expands its global footprint, we are seeking a VP, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) to establish and grow Dig’s presence in-market.
This is a standalone, senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy and accountability. The VP, ANZ is responsible for delivering exceptional client service, leading high-quality research engagements, and selectively driving growth by demonstrating Dig’s value as a global insights partner with local relevance, while acting as a visible representative of Dig’s global capabilities in the ANZ market.
The VP will act as a primary in-market representative for Dig, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and ensuring projects are thoughtfully designed, expertly delivered, and clearly connected to local business decisions. A core part of the role is leading local engagement with Upsiide, positioning Dig’s technology platform as a differentiated and scalable way to support innovation and insight programs in the ANZ markets.
Working closely with global research, analytics, and commercial teams, the VP, ANZ will translate Dig’s global capabilities into locally meaningful solutions, build early proof points and case studies, and contribute to Dig’s broader global expansion efforts, particularly in the expansion into APAC.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Client Leadership & Market Representation
- Serve as the senior ANZ lead for priority clients, acting as a trusted advisor across functions and a visible in-market representative of Dig’s global capabilities.
- Represent Dig confidently in client conversations, industry events, online, and in-person engagements across ANZ.
2. Research Leadership & Delivery Excellence
- Support or lead the end-to-end oversight of research engagements for ANZ clients, ensuring work is strategically sound, commercially relevant, and locally tailored.
- Collaborate closely with Dig’s global research, analytics, strategy, and platform teams to deliver best-in-class solutions locally.
3. Commercial Growth, Account Expansion & Upsiide Adoption
- Develop bespoke strategies to grow relationships and revenue with existing and new ANZ-based clients where Dig’s offer is a strong fit.
- Lead capability presentations, discovery conversations, and solution-specific pitches across Dig’s portfolio, with particular emphasis on Upsiide as a scalable programmatic solution.
4. Global & APAC Collaboration
- Contribute market insight, client feedback, and delivery learnings to inform Dig’s broader global expansion efforts, collaborating with APAC and Global teams on a learning loop.
- Support cross-market opportunities by helping global clients activate Dig’s work locally in ANZ.
5. Partnerships, Pilots & Market Entry Proof Points
- Support selective commercial partnerships or pilot engagements that enhance Dig’s local credibility and accelerate market entry, in existing and new capability areas.
This role involves regular travel for key client, partner, and internal engagement across ANZ.
Experience, Skills and Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in market research, consumer insights, strategy, or adjacent advisory roles, gained on the agency and/or client side.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, high-stakes research engagements end to end and advise senior client stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
- Strong commercial judgment and comfort: experienced in expanding client relationships, shaping opportunities, and converting work through trust and value rather than transactional selling.
- Proven experience working with global or multinational clients, translating global strategies, frameworks, or platforms into locally relevant execution.
- Experience representing and selling integrated offers across insights, consulting, and technology; familiarity with research platforms or tech-enabled insight solutions (e.g. SaaS, AI, analytics) strongly preferred.
- Clear, compelling communicator with the executive presence to lead client discussions, capability presentations, and in-person results delivery.
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy in ambiguous or build-stage environments, while collaborating closely with global teams across time zones.
Work Perks:
- Hybrid working policy which gives the flexibility to employees to work remotely or in one of our office locations
- Unlimited vacation policy
- Reimbursement for health and wellness classes/memberships, and continuous learning
- Medical Insurance
- In-person and virtual social events such as poker night, paint night, trivia night and more!
