About the role
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Business Development
- Supporting the sales process through proposal development, including methodology design, costing, scheduling and design considerations
- Developing and maintaining client relationships while identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts and consulting/participating in the selling process
Leadership
- Providing advice, guidance and counselling to Analysts and Managers, including assessment and identification of training needs
- Create workplans for junior staff that are supporting your projects
- Thought partner to your VP in identifying new types of projects or deliverables the team could sell
- The ability to create new styles of report templates (in collaboration with the VP)
- Helping to identify new sales opportunities for the team
Project Management
- Overseeing project management in its entirety ensuring timely, quality deliverables according to project design
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams in qualitative and quantitative research to develop innovative solutions that address future needs and challenges for clients and innovate internally on how we do integrated deliverables.
- Conducts a structured approach for completing work and solving client challenges that is well communicated to the VP
- Feels comfortable and confident working in a high pace work environment
- Works fast and efficiently and can juggle multiple projects at one time as an individual contributor
Research & Reporting
- Invest the time necessary to develop an intimate knowledge of the client’s business to understand what impact the research, insights and recommendations will have upon it.
- Tie in client documents to the final trend findings
- Monitor a variety of sources to identify trends and opportunity spaces. From Instagram, blogs and online experts to books, magazines, and the intellectual products of trade/industry conferences.
- Train yourself on our suite of trend tools to make your workload both more efficient and get to deeper insights
- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and anticipate future challenges in various industries and sectors. Develop an outline and turn your findings into a synthesized report.
- Leading the team by guiding data analysis and results communication to ensure projects are delivered with excellence
- Analyzing results and creating a "story" that delivers insightful, strategic and actionable answers for clients
- Provide strategic recommendations that demonstrate clear ties to the client’s business.
- Excel at ideation with surfacing novel yet highly relevant innovations for the client’s consideration
- Translate research/insights into workshop materials that can be leveraged during innovation workshops and sessions with the client
Presenting & Facilitation
- Strong presentation capabilities: share your findings to your colleagues and clients in a way that shows your passion for the work and the breadth of your knowledge (beyond what is stated on the page).
- Lead the organization and facilitation of workshops and working sessions with clients.
