Through our Dig - BIPOC Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship, we would like to recognize and reward those exceptional post-secondary students who are interested in pursuing a career in consumer insights. As part of the Scholarship, the recipient will be offered a paid full-time internship for 3 months at Dig Insights. This internship is intended to provide hands-on job training in the market research & insights / restech industry.

Scholarship Details

  • One scholarship available in the amount of $4,000 (CAN).
  • Scholarship recipient will receive an (optional) 3-month offer of paid employment either between academic years (i.e., summer) or as part of their study requirements (i.e., internship). Dig is a remote-first company, and this internship can be done remotely or at our office in Toronto, Ontario.


  • Individuals who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color)
  • Demonstrate diverse extra-curricular participation and community involvement
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program from an accredited university or college in Canada
  • Canadian Citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or individuals who are legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer until, and including, December 31, 2023

Selection Process

We thank all applicants for their submissions; the successful candidate(s) will be contacted via email and/or phone notification for a 30-minute interview prior to the issuance of the scholarship award. 

Dig Insights has full discretion to issue the Dig - BIPOC Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship to candidate(s) that meet all criteria outlined above.  In the event that no candidate satisfactorily meets the criteria, Dig Insights reserves the right to not issue the scholarship award for the academic year in question.

As a BIPOC Leaders of Tomorrow scholarship recipient, here’s what to expect during your 3-month internship at Dig Insights: 

  • Hands-on work experience (full-time) working on live projects in any of the departments mutually identified as most fitting for the recipient (e.g., Quantitative or Qualitative Insights, Advanced Analytics, Upsiide or IT)
  • Recipients will be provided a job description for the role they will be entering to understand day-to-day responsibilities (e.g., Research Analyst if Insights, Customer Success if Upsiide etc.)
  • Full on-boarding and access to training materials, support and guidance from manager and assigned team in completing tasks 
  • Participation in Dig’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee 
  • Dig’s D&I committee are a group of volunteer employees from all levels and departments of the company. Committee members meet once a month to support on-going initiatives at Dig. Scholarship recipients are expected to participate in conversations to further support diversity and inclusion at Dig. 
  • Completion of one Special Project to be determined at the start of the internship 
  • Recipients will identify a topic area of interest (related to diversity and inclusion) and create a small research study demonstrating the use of market research techniques and insights. The project will be scoped with the recipient’s manager and all resources will be provided to execute the study. 
  • Recipients will be expected to lead their project from start to finish. Team support will be provided along the way!
  • Special projects can include utilizing the Upsiide platform to run a study and writing a blog post, running a small study to support a non-profit org’s business questions, working with Dig’s Marketing team to generate content / thought-pieces for Dig’s website or social media.
  • Friends and Fun! Dig’s engaging culture means that recipients can expect to participate in any of the employee-led events during their internship. We have regular fun events scheduled throughout the year from summer BBQs, virtual clubs (gardening, poker, chess, yoga & meditation), to our year-end charity fundraising events.
