Co-Founder & CEO: AI Analytics Insurtech Venture

Summary

We are launching a new Insurtech venture developing an AI-driven analytics platform improving accuracy and costs of disability claims operations. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly motivated Co-Founder & CEO to bring the venture to success.

As the ultimate accountable executive in the business, you will shape the vision, build a solid team, drive growth and ensure capital influx.

Please note: This is not an employee opportunity at Diagram Ventures, but in a new company created through our venture studio model. This company will be independent of Diagram Ventures, and the founding team will receive the majority of the equity in the venture.

The Opportunity

The salary protection insurance market is a +100B market in the US, with more than 60% of this paid out in claims every year. Managing these claims is a multifaceted role, demanding empathy, discipline and critical thinking from claims managers. Current processes require handling vast amounts of information and coordinating between claimants, healthcare providers, and employers for a safe return to work.

However, we believe the industry is at an inflection point, both in terms of analytics capabilities and from a market demand perspective. That’s why Diagram Ventures has launched a new venture developing a next generation AI-based disability claims management software. We are now looking for a Co-founder and CEO to lead this venture to success.

Who we are looking for:

We are assembling a dream team of entrepreneurs and technologists, and we are now looking for an accomplished CEO to lead the venture. If you are up for it, you will:

• Build and lead a high-caliber team of “A” player early hires including other co-founder(s) and a technical team with deep AI expertise
• Rapidly establish commercial relationships with insurance carriers in US and Canada
• Provide overall leadership to the organization, working across all aspects and functions of the business (product, marketing, sales, tech, finance, etc.)
• Lead the fundraising efforts in collaboration with the founding team and investors
• Work closely with the investors and board
• Background and experience we look for

You’re the ideal candidate if you have:

• Track record of leading an enterprise SaaS business as a founder and CEO, COO, Product Executive, or GM with P&L ownership within an organization
• Experience building a venture from the ground up
• Relevant industry experience: group benefits insurance, worker’s compensation insurance or an Insurtech startup
• Experience selling enterprise software
• Experience leading complex product organizations with AI components
• Experience raising from VCs and leading an exit process
