DATAINVENT SYSTEMS is looking for a Senior Account Executive to help drive growth of the firm across North America. This role is ideal for a sales professional who can go beyond traditional account management and take ownership of building relationships, creating new opportunities, and developing a strong book of business.

The successful candidate must be comfortable creating their own pipeline, building relationships from the ground up, and converting those relationships into meaningful revenue in addition to identifying and developing Microsoft channel opportunities.

Position Summary

The Growth Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business, developing strategic relationships, building a self-sourced pipeline, and driving revenue across DataInvent’s Microsoft solution portfolio. This is a growth-focused role for someone who can identify new opportunities, build trust with customers and partners, and position DataInvent’s services in a way that connects technology solutions to business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has experience selling technology services, Microsoft solutions, managed services, cloud services, licensing, or business applications. They should be comfortable engaging business and technology leaders, developing opportunities from early relationship-building through close, and working collaboratively with internal solution, delivery, marketing, and leadership teams.

This role is not limited to managing existing accounts. It requires a proactive sales professional who can create demand, grow relationships, expand DataInvent’s market presence, and contribute directly to company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by build and managing a pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, partner relationships, events, social selling, and strategic account development.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with executives, business leaders, IT leaders, finance leaders, operations leaders, and other key decision-makers.
  • Create a personal book of business by identifying target accounts, mapping stakeholders, building relationships, and converting opportunities into revenue.
  • Sell across the Microsoft stack, including Dynamics 365 Business Applications, Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Data & AI, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, CSP licensing, and managed services.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification, contract negotiation, and close.
  • Work with Microsoft, distributors, channel partners, referral partners, and ecosystem relationships to identify and develop opportunities, while also independently creating new business.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer business challenges, operational needs, technology gaps, growth plans, budget considerations, and decision criteria.
  • Translate customer needs into outcome-focused solution opportunities in partnership with pre-sales, solution architects, delivery leaders, and executive sponsors.
  • Develop account plans for strategic prospects and customers, including relationship maps, opportunity plans, buying timelines, competitive positioning, and expansion strategy.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across implementation services, managed services, licensing, cloud services, support, and advisory services.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, executive briefings, proposals, pricing discussions, and business-value messaging tailored to customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, next steps, forecasts, activity tracking, and account plans.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, pipeline generation goals, activity expectations, and revenue objectives.
  • Represent DataInvent at industry events, Microsoft partner events, conferences, webinars, business networking events, and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, content, and account-based outreach to generate and advance opportunities.
  • Support long-term account growth by maintaining relationships after the initial sale and identifying future opportunities for expansion.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology services, Microsoft solutions, cloud services, managed services, business applications, ERP, CRM, consulting, or professional services.
  • Proven ability to generate new business through self-sourced prospecting, relationship-building, networking, referrals, and strategic account development.
  • Experience selling to mid-market, enterprise, public sector, or regulated-industry customers.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, with preference for experience selling one or more of the following: Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Data & AI, Copilot, CSP licensing, or managed services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ERP, or Business Applications is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to sell business outcomes and value, not just technology features.
  • Ability to build rapport with executives, business stakeholders, IT leaders, and operational teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver professional presentations and proposals.
  • Comfortable working with pre-sales consultants, solution architects, delivery teams, marketing, finance, and leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand customer operations, pain points, budgets, decision processes, procurement cycles, and growth priorities.
  • Experience managing opportunities and forecasts in a CRM system.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities, follow-ups, and customer conversations at the same time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based commission and incentive compensation.
  • Opportunity to build and grow your territory (United States / Canada).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, subject to company plan eligibility.
