As our Electrical Engineer: Sustainable Transit Initiatives you will expand our service offerings and assist in complete designs for a variety of engineering disciplines, manage projects and oversee construction.


What you will do:

  • Provide technical advisory services to clients for specific projects with respect to electrical engineering and transit electrification:
  • Prepare analyses, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, presentations, and reports
  • Undertake internal technical reviews and verification checks on analysis, reports, designs and associated advice.
  • Deliver engineering projects in accordance with client requirements and in line with company and industry best practices, ensuring that solutions offered and delivered reflect the needs of the private sector, municipal, provincial, and/or federal clients.
  • Carry out project management, contract administration and field reviews for projects under construction, including following key project management protocols for reporting, financials, and resourcing.
  • Maintain client service through project delivery, strong communication with clients, and acting on client feedback
  • Proactively identify and as appropriate, secure business opportunities with new and/or existing clients.

What you will bring:

  • Fluent English language skills required
  • P.Eng. designation, electrical engineer with a power or high voltage background and minimum of 3-5 years professional experience. Knowledge of cogeneration systems is a plus. Thorough understanding and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code required.
  • Able to undertake power system short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis and calculations, as well as harmonic analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience designing and implementing instrumentation and PLC control systems.
  • Can prepare and review AutoCAD and Revit 3D models for electrical systems; perform clash detection with Revit 3D for interdisciplinary 3D model clashes.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills; comfortable making decisions and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving., strong problem-solving ability.

Optimal:

  • Fluency in French is considered a highly valuable asset
  • Experience in planning or carrying out site assessments for electric charging solutions
  • Leadership experience
  • Has worked cooperatively and effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Multi-disciplinary versatility and knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge in zero emissions vehicles and alternative energy solutions
  • Experience in transit or transportation sectors
  • Evidence of a committed work ethic and the pursuit of excellence in professional or personal life.
