We are currently seeking an experienced Key Account Manager based in the Vancouver area to support the growth and development of assigned key accounts and brand portfolios within the Canadian market.

The Opportunity

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for high-visibility key accounts assigned to them, such as London Drugs, PFG and all affiliated banners as well as Canadian Choices Wholesalers (CCW).  This role focuses on building strong, strategic partnerships and proactively managing assigned accounts to achieve annual business plan objectives across sales performance and trade spend effectiveness.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to execute brand and category strategies, optimize program execution, and enhance the overall customer experience.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of your supervisor, you will need to develop and implement sales KPIs and other data
  • On a regular basis, provide your supervisor with an accurate summary of activities
  • Assist in preparing and then achieving or exceeding annual strategic planning objectives
  • Develop and effectively manage relationships with key accounts, supporting them by driving consumer demand. Work directly with major accounts to optimize the efficiency and execution of the program
  • Be familiar with the client and able to develop a cost structure based on retailer requirements and margin strategy
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to help grow brand awareness
  • Responsible for creating compelling, analytical, and fact-based sales presentations. Provide continuous training and support, as well as insights into category management
  • Comply with standard operating procedures, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Be an ambassador for Concord National, reflecting our culture in all internal and external communications and interactions

 

Candidate Requirements

Education and Experience

  • University or college degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing major customer accounts
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is required

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Clear, honest, and effective communication skills
  • Ability to self‑manage while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship‑management capabilities
  • Positive, resilient, and results‑driven mindset
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

 

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel will be necessary across the assigned accounts

 

Physical Requirements

  • Alternating periods of sitting and standing, with some walking
  • Work on a computer/iPad both at home and in the office.
