ELN Committee Member

CivicAction’s Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) has always been powered by the ideas, energy, and passion of its members. Now, we're looking for a few more people to help shape what's next.

We're currently recruiting volunteers to serve as members of ELN's Advisory Committee!

As a Committee member, you'll play an important role in planning and delivering engaging programming that bring emerging leaders together to connect, learn, and take action on the issues shaping our region. Whether you have ideas for speakers, want to help create memorable experiences, or are passionate about building community, we'd love to have you involved.

The Committee is a great opportunity to:

• Shape and support the delivery of ELN programming.
• Collaborate with a group of passionate and civic-minded peers.
• Build your leadership, planning, and collaboration skills.
• Make a meaningful impact on the experiences of fellow emerging leaders.

We’re looking for ELN members who are passionate about building community and creating meaningful experiences for emerging leaders across the GTHA. The ideal Committee members are people who:

• Are excited to bring people together and create engaging events, programming, and experiences for the ELN community.
• Have ideas and perspectives to share on topics, speakers, formats, and activities that would resonate with emerging leaders.
• Enjoy collaborating with others and rolling up their sleeves to turn ideas into impactful programming.
• Are curious, creative, and solutions-oriented, bringing energy and fresh thinking to ELN programming.
• Want to develop their own leadership skills while contributing to the growth of a network of diverse and engaged leaders.
• Comfortable representing the Emerging Leaders Network and CivicAction at events and programming
• Can commit time and energy to attend regular meetings and actively support the network throughout the year.

We’re looking for new members to join for the remainder of the 2026-2027 term (with the opportunity to extend for the 2027-2028 term) across three advisory sub-committees focused on:

·       Programming & Initiatives

·       Marketing & Communications

·       Public Policy

No previous committee experience is required—just a willingness to contribute, collaborate, and help make ELN even stronger.
