JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Manager
REPORTING TO: CEO & President
General Accountability
Reporting directly to the CEO and President, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will purchase and control inventory of spare parts. The Maintenance Manager must have some knowledge and input into the maintenance budget.
Specific Accountabilities:
· Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
· Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
· Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
· Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
· Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
· Involved in the decision-making process of purchasing and installing and scheduling of non-equipment and automation of existing equipment.
· Lead and guide the work of the Skilled Trades workforce.
· All scheduling of work tasks, ensuring accurate completion all of work orders
· Career growth and development for all Skilled Trades. Need to be aware and up to date on training and activity to support Team and Personal growth.
· Other duties as required.
Health and Safety Accountabilities:
· Must have an extensive knowledge of Health and Safety protocol
· Must follow the protocols for attire when entering the manufacturing facility
· Ensure uniforms are held to standard
· Member of the Health and Safety Team
· Report any incidents or accidents to the President and Fabrication Manager if needed
· Acts as the Fire Marshall for the Maintenance Team, takes attendance daily and is aware of who is in attendance

Qualifications, Education, Experience:
· High School or equivalent
· Millwright or Electrical Certification
· Detailed knowledge of:
o Packaging and high-speed equipment
o Steam process
o Hydraulic and pneumatics,
o Refrigeration and freezing process are an asset
o Computer-based maintenance systems
· 5+ years of experience leading people
· Excellent organizational and process knowledge
Working Conditions:
Physical Effort: Work activities require intermediate periods of moderate physical effort such as standing or sitting in one place or in a constrained physical position. Activities typically require a variety of muscle movements with frequent requirement for speed and coordination with medium weightlifting.
Physical Environment: Environment has only occasional exposure to mild unpleasant or disagreeable conditions with remote possibility of accident or health hazards.
Sensory Attention: Work activities involve frequent need to concentrate for lengthy durations and require diligence and attention to interpret information effectively. The need for detailed or precise work is high.
Mental Stress: Frequent exposure to mental pressure conditions where mental stress would be noticeable.
