Position overview

  • At CCDI, the Learning Solutions portfolio includes e-Learning courses, instructor-led training, and blended programs. They are designed to build the awareness, knowledge and skills of clients’ workforce, from front-line staff to senior leaders, and support the development of an inclusive work environment.
  • The Learning Manager role will be primarily focused on design, delivery and project management of learning solutions.  The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • This position reports to the Director, Learning and is in downtown Toronto.
  • Both local and national travel may be required. 

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Participate in proposal creation (as needed)
  • Ensure the scope and budget of the Learning Project aligns to the contractual obligations detailed in the engagement letter
  • Manage training delivery and logistics in coordination with Client
  • Manage quality assurance processes: design of evaluation tools, survey distribution, data analysis

Instructional design

  • Conduct needs assessment with clients
  • Design learning materials i.e. slide decks, handouts, storyboards (in collaboration with Learning Solutions team)
  • Review all learning materials for language, factual accuracy, alignment to branding, alignment to most recent research
  • Conduct research (where applicable and within scope)
  • Develop learning paths and curricula

Facilitation

  • Deliver Instructor Led Training sessions
  • Facilitate CCDI webinars and events (where applicable) 

Other duties as assigned 


Qualifications (Required)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects of different complexity with superior attention to detail
  • Facilitation experience in a corporate setting
  • Experience designing and delivering adult learning solutions to a wide range of audiences
  • Solid understanding of workplace diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility
  • Solid understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles and best practices
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written expression
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects of different complexity with superior attention to detail

Qualifications (Optional)

  • Experience with eLearning development software and techniques
  • Experience with graphic and web design
  • Familiarity with Learning Management System administration
  • College or University degree in Education, Equity Studies, Human Rights, Social sciences
  • Experience facilitating training online.
  • Professional certifications: CTDP or CCIP.

The salary for this position is $65,000.
