Project Lead (Public Engagement)

Canadian Foodgrains Bank is recruiting a Project Lead (Public Engagement) to implement and manage the RAISE (Raising Advocates to Inspire Strategic Engagement in Support of Canadian Assistance) program. This exciting new initiative will engage Canadians in conversations about global hunger, international development, and Canada’s role in addressing these challenges.

As a member of the Public Engagement team, you will lead project implementation, coordinate research activities, manage project timelines, oversee the recruitment and training of volunteer animators, and support the development and delivery of public engagement resources and activities across Canada. You will work closely with regional staff, member organizations, consultants, and volunteers to build engagement opportunities that inspire Canadians to learn, reflect, and take action in response to global hunger.

We’re looking for someone with experience in a combination of the following – public engagement, volunteer management, adult education, workshop facilitation, and project management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and an interest in international development, food security, and advocacy. Alignment with our Christian identity is a requirement for this position. Experience working in interdenominational or ecumenical settings, resource development, and French language fluency are assets.

This is a full-time, two-year term position with a possibility of extension dependent on funding. Various locations within Canada will be considered. If based in Winnipeg, the position is eligible for hybrid work. Frequent domestic travel will be required.
