Position summary
The Program Manager, Canadian Cardiovascular Society Continuing (CCS) Professional Development (CPD), provides operational leadership and program management support for a growing portfolio of continuing professional development activities at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. This role is responsible for coordinating complex educational programming, supporting faculty and committee workflows, maintaining accurate systems and records, and helping ensure timely, high-quality delivery across webinars, online learning, committee-supported initiatives, and accreditation-related activities.
The position plays a key role in strengthening internal capacity as CCS CPD continues to expand in volume, scope, and complexity, with a strong focus on process consistency, stakeholder service, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead operational planning and coordination for CPD programming from proposal development through delivery and post-program follow-up.
- Manage timelines, task tracking, and cross-functional workflows to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Support committee operations, including agenda preparation, minutes, scheduling polls, member records, and committee-related correspondence.
- Coordinate faculty invitations, confirmations, reminders, scheduling, planning calls, and related program communications.
- Oversee accreditation support processes, including documentation tracking, application preparation, credit notifications, and record organization for internal and external programs.
- Maintain data integrity across CPD systems and platforms, including survey tools, iMIS, learning platforms, tracking spreadsheets, and shared folders.
- Support webinar and online course delivery by coordinating event/course set up, surveys, certificates, attendee records, email communications, and post-event reporting.
- Prepare and maintain evaluation reports, dashboards, and summaries for sponsors, partners, committees, and internal planning purposes.
- Assist with marketing and communications coordination, including templated content, timelines, slide preparation, and brand-aligned design assets.
- Respond to routine learner, faculty, and partner inquiries and escalate more complex issues appropriately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by refining templates, standard operating procedures, trackers, dashboards, and workflow processes.

Qualifications
- Postsecondary education in health administration, education, event management, communications, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two years’ experience in continuing professional development, medical education, event coordination, or program administration.
- Familiarity with committee support, online learning platforms, survey tools, and content/document management systems.
- Experience maintaining records, coordinating logistics, and supporting multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes, educational program workflows, or healthcare professional education is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
Working relationships
This role works closely with CPD staff, committee chairs, faculty, communications staff, accreditation partners, finance, and other internal stakeholders at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. The Program Manager is expected to build rapport with members and faculty while ensuring operational follow-through, clarity, and consistency across activities.
Performance focus
Success in this role will be measured by timely and accurate execution of operational workflows, improved responsiveness to stakeholders, stronger data and document integrity, and increased capacity for strategic planning and program innovation.
