Business Data Visualization - Unpaid Internship

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) is seeking a Data Visualization - Analyst who can assist us in enhancing access to and use of all data points. The successful candidate has a solid foundation in manipulating data and leveraging PowerBI to set up reporting capabilities.

Utilizing our core data from the CRM - iMIS, we are looking at ways to make the data accessible to the end-user in the various program areas, including Membership, Education, Scientific Guidelines, and Advocacy.

The core tasks and activities are as follows:

- Review of current dashboards

- Understanding the customers’ needs

- Setting up interactive dashboards for the various programs. I

- Setting up the organization for continued success in building and using the dashboards.

- Collaborate with staff in the various departments and document processes.

We anticipate leveraging PowerBI for this project as appropriate and the potential to leverage other data points available in systems such as Survey Monkey and/or MS Forms.

Deliverables

The project will deliver a detailed report identifying gaps in the current IT Risk Plan and recommendations for system improvements. It will also provide a documented and streamlined set of internal IT processes. Additionally, a proposal for an Intranet solution, including software or platform recommendations, will be developed. Lastly, an assessment report on the use of MS Forms 365, with recommendations for optimization, will be provided.

Mentorship

CCS will provide access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion. Regular meetings with scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.

The CCS Internship is an unpaid position. Based on a 35-hour work week.
