Sales Support Specialist - Sales
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Purpose:
Customer service is one of our core values and we pride ourselves on the level of support we deliver to clients. The Sales Support Specialist enhances our customer service efforts through various means, ensuring customers and prospective clients are satisfied throughout the entire sales process. Our ideal colleague is professional, team-oriented, optimistic and leads with integrity.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Management of sales leads:
- Delegating leads to the appropriate sales representative
- Provide first touchpoint to marketing-driven leads
- Management of bounce-backs from Marketing communications
- Tradeshow leads list
Provide superior customer service to external and internal customers that includes:
- Freight follow-up communication to ensure customer satisfaction
- Online chat support to website visitors during business hours
- Answer and route inbound calls to Busch Systems when necessary
Ongoing maintenance of our customer databases
Provide back-up to sales representatives and account coordinators that may include:
- Sales inquiry submissions to Operations Department
- Quote generation
- Obtain freight rates
- Process online-orders
- Report generation (sales history, rebate submissions, etc)
- Maintenance of customer-specific price lists
Data entry; routine and/or project-based
Variety of administrative duties
Assist with projects that support our sales team’s goals
Expectations for Success:
- An understanding of sales principles and customer service practices,
- Strong computer knowledge with a focus on Outlook, Excel and online-based programs,
- Superior written and oral communication abilities,
- Possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn and operates with a sense of urgency,
- Solid judgement, attention-to-detail, decision making and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to work effortlessly within a team pursuing a common goal,
- Willingly maintains strong knowledge of Busch Systems products, processes and programs,
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Navision considered an asset,
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
