Job Purpose:


The Business Development Manager (BDM) is to improve Busch Systems’ market position and uncover new sales opportunities within your defined industry. Your hunter-mentality will achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals.


Key Responsibilities and Accountability:

  • Actively pursuing new customers within assigned industry vertical
  • Prospecting, researching and building relationships with new clients by identifying decision makers
  • Maintain a high level of daily sales activities that includes outbound calls, emails and research to ensure an ongoing robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Provide timely and accurate quotes to customers using established pricing with a strong emphasis on maximum profitability
  • Identify and act on inbound leads, prospects and referrals within defined time frames relevant to your industry vertical
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for your vertical with your Account Manager and Account coordinator that ensures attainment of sales and profitability goals
  • Provide routine forecasting of larger opportunities to Sales Manager
  • Be an advisor to customers, utilizing your robust product knowledge, understanding of industry standards and available literature to provide accurate and consultative information
  • Utilize, to the best of your ability, the marketing team and sales tools available to you
  • Routinely provide back-up coverage for your team members
  • Attend trade shows and face to face customer meetings when necessary
  • Assist with onboarding of new sales employees through job shadowing occasionally
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong computer skills and sound knowledge of online-based CRM/Salesforce and ERP systems with Advanced computer skills
