About Burdock

Burdock is a Brewery and Restaurant in Bloordale, now in its 8th year of operation. We are a small team of hospitality professionals who are dedicated to providing great service and making really good beer.


Sous Chef Position Details:

Burdock is looking to add a culinary leader to our kitchen team. Our kitchen is kind, welcoming, creative and passionate about food and the people we work with.


The sous chef will be responsible for leading our team in prep and service.

The sous chef will assist the chef with ordering, cost control and labour scheduling.

The sous chef will collaborate creatively on the menu and with recipe development.


The ideal candidate has 5+ years kitchen experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. We work as a team with all members supporting one another with prep, service, cleaning and washing dishes.


This is a salary full-time position with 4 day work week (40-45 hours a week)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 depending on experience plus portion of tip pool and comprehensive benefits package

Vacation: Two Weeks
