Burdock is a small and growing brewery that started in 2015. We make lagers, pale ales, barrel aged beers, and grape-ales, using as much local material as possible. We love good beverage and are on a mission to keep Ontario supplied with only the best.

The Brewer Role

Brewers are involved in all aspects of production from grain to glass. That means everything from mashing-in to labeling cans and bottles. Candidates should have a solid understanding of brewing/packaging fundamentals and a keen desire to become experts in their field.

Required Skillset

• Ability brew, cellar, and CIP vessels independently

• Work with sanitary techniques

• Operate a Wild Goose canning line and a Meheen bottling line

• Crop yeast and dry-hop beers

• Understand brewery hazards and know how to work safely

• Recognize beer off flavours and understand their cause


• 2 years minimum brewing experience

• A brewing diploma or degree in a relevant field

• Forklift certification

• Valid drivers license and experience driving box trucks


This is a full-time salaried position with dental/life/extended health insurance, boot & beer allowance, and professional development budget. Brewers generally work between Monday and Friday with 8 to 10 hours shifts with varying start times.
