We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control programs across our industrial construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in mechanical, structural, and piping installations within heavy industrial environments.

Position Summary

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Brymark's Quality Management Program while ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will provide leadership to project teams and subcontractors to ensure quality objectives are achieved throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control policies, procedures, and inspection processes.
• Produce, review, and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, checklists, forms, and quality documentation.
• Lead and manage site-specific QA/QC programs and quality personnel on active projects.
• Review fabrication, construction, and engineering drawings to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, contract specifications, client standards, applicable regulations, and governing codes.
• Review and audit subcontractor QA/QC programs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure proper identification, documentation, tracking, and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate and oversee inspections, testing activities, and quality verification processes.
• Maintain quality records and support project turnover documentation requirements.
• Perform drawing redlines and assist with the preparation of as-built documentation.
• Ensure turnover packages are complete, accurate, and delivered in accordance with project schedules.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams regarding quality standards and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with project management, construction teams, clients, inspectors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or construction management within heavy industrial construction and/or commercial general contracting.
• Strong experience with mechanical installations, structural steel, stationary equipment, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Thorough understanding of Canadian and international construction codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of structural welding processes and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requirements.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing QA/QC programs, procedures, and quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret fabrication, construction, and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of job site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $130 - $160k per
annum

The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
