The Role
Brymark Installations is currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support an industrial construction project in the Vancouver area. This is a hands‑on, site‑based position ideal for a safety professional who enjoys being present in the field, working closely with crews, and supporting safe work execution on an active jobsite.
Project Details
- Duration: 5–6 months
- Schedule: 4x10s (Monday–Thursday)
- Location: Vancouver, BC (local candidates preferred)
- Remuneration: $50–$70 per hour, based on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead daily toolbox talks and support weekly and monthly safety meetings
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments (JHAs)
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and client safety requirements
- Support permit‑to‑work systems and oversight of high‑risk activities
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Work closely with supervisors and crews to promote safe work practices
- Act as a visible, approachable safety presence on site
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or industrial safety
(Industrial or oil & gas experience is an asset) - Experience supporting or executing work in oil & gas or industrial processing facilities, including ISBL environments, is strongly preferred.
- Experience working safely within active, brownfield operating environments and coordinating work around live systems is a strong asse
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
- Previous experience on industrial construction sites preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with crews, supervisors, and management
- Safety certifications such as NCSO, CSO, or CRSP are considered an asset
