THE ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for dedicated, detail-oriented individuals to join our Facilities team as Environmental Services Workers. You’ll be a key part of ensuring our cabins, dining hall, and program spaces remain clean, comfortable, and safe for campers, families, and staff.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and wants to contribute to something that truly matters. There's also room for growth within the organization for those looking to develop their skills and take on more responsibility.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, your day-to-day may include:
- Cleaning cabins, bathrooms, floors, and program areas
- Restocking cleaning and facility supplies
- Supporting volunteers and student workers
- Managing laundry, making beds, and preparing spaces before and after camp
- Sorting and handling waste and recycling
- Assisting with general maintenance and equipment storage
- Participating in facility-wide training and emergency planning
- Upholding Brigadoon’s cleanliness, safety, and environmental standards
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who bring a strong work ethic, a desire to contribute to a greater purpose, and a readiness to roll up their sleeves. Previous experience in janitorial or environmental services is an asset but not required.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and safely in a physically active role
- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check
- WHMIS (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid/CPR Level C is an asset
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn

- Part-time & Full Time Hours available
- Flexible hours based on events and camp schedules
- Includes weekend and occasional on-call work
- The work can be physically demanding (lifting, standing, etc.)
