1. Role

  • Work closely with Applied Science Department, other departments, and customers, to guide, design, and review control and optimization solutions for modern power and energy systems.

2. Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions to optimize grid operation
  • Work closely with Engineering to implement solutions in the field
  • Setup testing and validation mechanisms for different operation scenarios
  • Prepare documents and presentations to inform and demonstrate
  • Effective interaction with all teams to provide cross-functional effectiveness

3. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

You must have:

  • Motivation to serve to the greater cause of climate change mitigation.
  • Familiarity with solutions for electric distribution systems consisting of distributed energy resources, energy storage systems, plug-in electric vehicles, and advanced power electronics.
  • Proficiency in engineering simulation tools.
  • Proficiency in python.
  • Strong communications, presentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts to the level that non-specialists can comprehend.

Considered an asset:

  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques, tools, and platforms.
  • Familiarity with IOT protocols and cloud solutions.
  • Experience implementing products in the field.

Educational Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in electrical engineering.
  • Exceptional BSc candidates are also encouraged to apply.
