BluPlanet Recycling is a Calgary based waste and recycling service provider working to change how we view waste as a society. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Outside Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing a self-directed sales strategy designed to; prospect, engage with, and close sales of recycling and organic waste collection services.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Create a self-directed sales strategy

· Research and develop a prospective client list

· Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs, then develop service proposals according to these needs

· Clearly communicate value proposition, close sales, and transition clients to an assigned Customer Service Representative


Competencies/Requirements for Role:

· Experience with each of the above noted activities is a must. We are looking for an individual with a background in end-to-end sales

· Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience is preferred

· Organized and self-motivated with a positive attitude

· Excellent phone and email etiquette

· Excellent communication, relationship and team building skills

· Attention to detail

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: Salary + commission model. Salary during training and acclimatization period will be $60,000. This period may last for up to twelve months from date of hire or by the decision of the Sales Specialist, who may prefer to switch to a salary + commission model earlier than 12 months.
