Sales Assistant
Bluevale Capital is hiring a Sales Assistant to support the Leasing team in administrative coordination, office organization, and prospect engagement. This is a junior, hands-on role designed as a learning opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leasing and sales position. You’ll backfill showings when Leasing Consultants are unavailable and gain direct experience in resident relations and property marketing.
This position offers an hourly rate of $20 per hour, with the opportunity for promotion to a commission-based Leasing Consultant role based on performance.
What You Will Do
• Perform administrative support tasks for the Leasing team, including data entry, filing, and application tracking.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate appointments and maintain schedules for leasing consultants and property tours.
• Assist in preparing leasing materials, signage, and welcome packets for new residents.
• Backfill leasing showings when consultants are unavailable, guiding prospects through properties and highlighting key features.
• Help organize marketing and community events; post online listings and update property information.
• Keep the leasing office and model units organized, clean, and tour-ready at all times.
• Assist in creating simple reports or spreadsheets tracking applications, leads, and move-ins.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent follow-up with prospects and accurate record-keeping.
• Participate in training sessions and shadow experienced leasing staff to learn best practices in sales and resident service.
What We’re Looking For
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Prior experience in sales, customer service, or administrative support required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with prospective residents and team members.
• Dependable, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends as needed.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel to Bluevale’s assets across Connecticut as necessary.
• Eagerness to learn leasing and real-estate operations and advance into a commissioned sales role.
Compensation
• $20 per hour (full-time, non-exempt).
• Opportunity for promotion to Leasing Consultant with commission eligibility based on performance.
