Objectives and Deliverables

The objective of this SOW is to ensure that the company adheres to local, provincial, and federal regulations in its operations while promoting a culture of safety and compliance. The key deliverables include:

  1. Compliance Plans: Development and implementation of compliance strategies that align with regulatory requirements.
  2. Field Audits: Regular site visits to monitor adherence to compliance standards.
  3. Training Programs: Training and educational materials for field teams.
  4. Documentation: Accurate record-keeping and reporting for compliance activities.
  5. Incident Reports: Support for investigations and corrective action documentation.


Scope of Work

1. Regulatory Compliance

  • Tasks:
    • Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal regulations governing operations, environmental standards, and workplace safety.
    • Stay current on regulatory updates and changes, ensuring relevant teams are informed and compliant.
    • Develop, implement, and update compliance plans, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Deliverables:
    • Compliance status reports.
    • Up-to-date regulatory guidelines communicated to teams.
    • Compliance plans and implementation strategies.

2. Field Audits and Inspections

  • Tasks:
    • Conduct regular on-site audits and inspections to assess adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
    • Identify and document instances of non-compliance, drafting corrective action plans with specific timelines.
    • Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory investigations.
  • Deliverables:
    • Inspection reports with documented findings.
    • Corrective action plans.
    • Audit support documentation for regulatory bodies.

3. Training and Development

  • Tasks:
    • Develop and deliver training programs to field personnel on key regulatory requirements, safety practices, and company procedures.
    • Create educational materials, presentations, and lead workshops to foster a compliance-oriented culture.
  • Deliverables:
    • Training schedules and agendas.
    • Educational materials (manuals, handouts, presentations).
    • Workshop feedback and attendance records.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Tasks:
    • Maintain accurate records of all compliance-related activities, including inspection logs, safety incidents, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare detailed, accurate reports for management and regulatory authorities, as required.
    • Assist with obtaining necessary permits and ensure all documentation is current, accessible, and compliant.
  • Deliverables:
    • Inspection logs and compliance records.
    • Reports for management and regulatory agencies.
    • Permit applications and documentation.

5. Incident Management

  • Tasks:
    • Participate in incident investigations, ensuring that root causes are identified, documented, and addressed.
    • Support the company in its liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and follow-ups related to incidents.
    • Coordinate third-party companies to conduct work for incident mitigation.
  • Deliverables:
    • Incident investigation reports and corrective action plans.
    • Documentation of interactions with regulatory agencies.
    • Review and approve work, quality of work and invoices from third-party companies.


6. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Tasks:
    • Provide leadership to field teams, promoting a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, safety, and environmental departments, to ensure a unified approach to regulatory compliance.
  • Deliverables:
    • Team leadership reports.
    • Meeting minutes and collaboration documentation with cross-functional teams.
