Joint Venture Accounting Analyst - 3 Month Contract

Blue Sky Resources Ltd. is a private Canadian oil and gas exploration company with assets in Western Canada.

We are seeking a Joint Venture Accounting Analyst to join our accounting team for a 3 month contract (with possible extension). Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will perform joint venture accounting responsibilities. This role will require a strong attention to detail and a passion for improving and implementing process efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

· Review and analysis of both operated and non-operated joint venture billings, including ensuring accurate recordings in accordance with joint venture agreements

· Resolution of joint venture accounting disputes

· Maintenance of master data, allocations, and overhead charges

· Completion of account reconciliations and account analysis

· Analysis and collection of aged receivables

· Ad-Hoc reporting, process improvements, and assigned special projects

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience

· Business Degree and/ or Accounting Designation

· Advanced Excel skills are essential

· Qbyte (FM and Optix), EnergyLink, AFE Navigator and Petrinex experience required

· Exceptional communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail

· Ability to work independently, while also working within a team environment
