Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable HR Manager to join our team in a full time capacity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving HR initiatives across the company and ensuring smooth HR operations. This individual must have a strong background in payroll, RRSP, benefits administration and onboarding/offboarding processes, along with strategic HR leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll and benefits administration
  • Responsible for payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Administer and manage RRSP program, benefits plans and other employee compensation
  • Facilitate a comprehensive onboarding and offboarding process to support a positive employee experience
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR policies and programs that align with Blue Sky’s strategic goals
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, acting as a trusted advisor to both staff and management
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and stay current on HR best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPHR designation (or in progress)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on payroll, benefits, RRSPs and employee lifecycle management
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, specifically Alberta legislation
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using Dayforce Powerpay (formerly Ceridian) and an HRIS program
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
