We have immediate openings for a highly skilled, personable Lead AV Technician looking to deliver the bb Blanc magic to our clients at our partner event venues. This is an ideal position for an experienced AV technician with passion for event technology and high-level customer service, looking to grow their career and join a growing company. Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Venue Lead AV Technician, your objectives include, but not limited to:
· Carry out operational/technical duties for Social and Corporate Events
· Responsible for accurate setup, operation and dismantling of audiovisual equipment
- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment and software issues
- Responsible for proper security, storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment
- Responsible for client and partner event venue liaison
- Monitors and manages inventory control
- Supervision and training of technical staff/personnel
- Completes all required documentation and reports
- Participates in weekly meetings
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements
Success in this role calls for having a passion for working with clients. The ideal candidate will have:
- Self-motivated with excellent customer service skills proven through a demonstrated ability to interact well with people and help others
- 3-5 + years’ experience as an AV Technician or Lead AV Technician
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Available to work weekends (including holidays) and at times long shifts (12-16 hours)
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Audio, Video, Projection, Computer, and Lighting equipment (light jockey experience an asset)
- Ability to work well under pressure and with several key stake holders at the same time
- Post-secondary education or 3-5 years similar experience
- Valid G Driver’s License with access to vehicle
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Heavy lifting, and steel toe shoes / boots will be required
