Aurora Cultural Centre

Join the volunteer Board of Directors and contribute to growing culture in our community.

Established in 2010, the Centre offers programming in live performing arts, visual arts gallery exhibitions and year-round educational programs for 9 months and up. Participate with a dedicated group of volunteers who share a passion for the arts and community development. We value the diverse voices that reflect the communities we serve, and particularly encourage persons with disabilities, Black, Indigenous, other racialized candidates, members of the LGTBQ2+ community and youth (18+) to apply.

Two-year terms: June 2026 - June 2028

Qualifications

1. Related experience, or desire to gain experience as a volunteer with not-for-profit Boards, committees, associations or other community groups as a member, donor, volunteer, or staff.
2. Transferable skills for Board governance. Actively seeking individuals with connections in the community and an interest in participating in fundraising for the organization.
3. Personal attributes of benefit to the Cultural Centre e.g. active contributor, team player, personal network, problem solver, creative thinker, etc.
4. Time and energy to contribute as a member and volunteer on committees, fundraising, special events and other activities.
