We are seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to lead our facilities operations and uphold our reputation for top-tier property management. The successful candidate will strategically manage our properties to ensure they meet all health and safety standards, maximize cost efficiency, and provide a superior customer experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our properties:
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers, ensuring all properties are maintained to high standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental regulations.
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of facility coordinator staff.
- Prepare reports and updates for senior management on the status of properties.
- Evaluate facility management technology updates and system upgrades.
- Handle emergency issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage all property capital improvements from budget, permitting and strategy.
- Ensure compliance for all regulatory bodies.
- Manage communication with property tenants.
- Developing and implementing facility management policies and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of all physical assets.
- Managing budgets, including the approval of maintenance expenses and capital expenditure projects.
- Directing facility upgrades or modifications, including the selection and management of contractors and negotiations with vendors.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to assess the need for repairs or renovations.
- Planning and directing facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal, and parking.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of property management and real estate market.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and building codes.
- Proficient in MS Office and facility management software.
