Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking orders, preparing hot & cold espresso-based beverages, brewing fresh coffee.
  • Preparing and serving food items.
  • Taking payments and handling transactions accurately.
  • Interacting with customers in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Maintaining a tidy workspace and ensuring cleanliness of tables and high-touch areas.
  • Working efficiently and with attention to speed during busy periods.
  • Assisting with other events at the Athlete Institute as needed.
  • Managing supply orders and ensuring adequate stock of food and restaurant ingredients.
  • Shopping for necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Scheduling shifts for staff members.
  • Training new staff members.
  • Financial reporting and budget management.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Smart Serve Certificate.
  • Food Handler Certificate.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
  • Knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety principles and hygiene practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work quickly and stand for extended periods.
  • Preferred experience in food and beverage service.
  • Experience with preparing espresso beverages is highly desired.
  • Willingness to train and learn about food and beverage preparation techniques
