What you’ll do (aka the fun stuff)

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on schedule. You’ll keep the ledgers tidy and the invoices happier than their due dates.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll: review timesheets, track vacation/sick time, verify deductions and taxes, and support year-end reporting (T4s).
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting records and help produce regular financial summaries and reports.
  • Be the go-to contact for billing questions. Speak clearly, resolve discrepancies, and keep relationships professional and pleasant.
  • Create/process documentation, templates, and training materials so the team can run like a well-oiled spreadsheet.
  • Support internal teams with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Comfortable with payroll and accounting fundamentals (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll processing).
  • Great attention to detail, strong data-entry skills, and comfort working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is your friend); experience with accounting/payroll software is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and an ethical approach to handling sensitive financial info.
  • College diploma in accounting along with previous accounting exposure.
