THE ROLE


AL13 Architectural Systems is a building products company specializing in patented and proprietary products sold to the North American building cladding markets. We are experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for a well qualified Product Manager to join our team. As a seasoned and technically savvy member of the team, you will be responsible for the overall success and performance of AL13 products and systems function. As the Product Manager you will wear many hats and work in a fast paced environment. This is a multi-faceted role that requires a broad knowledge of engineering and design, manufacturing, third-party testing, and maintenance of technical and marketing information. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering rigour, manufacturing alternatives, and an ability to collaborate with different departments and partners ensuring our products are made on time, as specified, and on budget.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Own and maintain the AL13 products roadmap
  • Lead research & development into new products, and improving current products
  • Work with teams including finance, logistics, orders, estimates, sales, senior management and supply chain partners to deliver successful products to market
  • Onboard new suppliers and manage periodic audits
  • Create and manage all technical documentation related to maintaining engineered systems
  • Create and manage all instructional content related to the successful installation of AL13 products
  • Define a set of metrics to measure customer success and product performance and analyze this data to make decisions
  • Create and drive continuous improvements within the overall business

REQUIREMENTS


  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, products, and manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communications (to technical and non-technical audiences)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for making decisions
  • Skilled at applying scientific rigour, in order to mitigate business risk
  • Proficient in CAD programs, and other software applications
