The role: Are you up for the challenge?

We are seeking a DevOps Specialist to oversee and manage the deployment and orchestration of our Aimsio SaaS product and its infrastructure.

Responsibilities: How you will make a contribution?

  • Improve the tooling and processes for consistent, reliable, and stable testing and deployments of new software versions with automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Plan for and optimize Aimsio’s AWS Infrastructure: EC2, EBS, RDS, ECS, etc.
  • Design and implement the infrastructure for deploying ECS-based applications including optimizing the dev tools
  • Monitor Cloud Analytics and logs and identify potential problems
  • Improve monitoring and instrumentation using Datadog or similar platforms
  • Maintain and automate setup of the team’s development environments
  • Perform regular deployment of the web application to AWS
  • Analyze and report production incidents and provide recommendations to mitigate
  • Stay up-to-date on all technologies that could help us improve our DevOps processes
  • Help us guarantee segregation of duties as it pertains to our code management and release cycles, in compliance with our S.O.C. controls

Qualifications: Do you have what it takes?

  • At least one year in a similar role, managing DevOps initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Proven and strong knowledge of AWS: EC2, EBS, RDS, ECS, etc
  • Strong Experience with Cloudformation/Terraform for managing AWS Services
  • Proven and strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing a continuous build/integration environment for Web and Mobile applications.
  • Experience managing infrastructure for Java-based Web applications and services
  • Strong understanding of networking, protocols, and security
  • Familiar with microservice architecture
  • Familiar with Git version control system
  • Experience working with CI environments such as Jenkins, Circle CI
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages used in DevOps automation (Python, Power Shell, sh, etc.)
  • Familiar with automatic deployment of Mobile applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store is a plus
  • Flexibility to shift hours as necessary to manage deployments outside regular business hours
  • Knowledge of programming in Java is a plus

Location

Going forward, Aimsio will be Remote First which means we're flexible about where you live in Canada as long as you have a place in your home you can work from. However, we can currently only consider candidates who are legally able to work for us in Canada without requiring sponsorship.
