ABOUT THE ROLE
At ACTO Technologies Inc., UX plays a critical role in shaping how life sciences teams plan, learn, and execute their work. We are looking for a UX Researcher / Product Designer who can operate comfortably in complex, regulated, enterprise environments and translate deep user insight into clear, scalable product experiences.
This role requires someone who can move fluidly between research, synthesis, and design, and who understands that strong UX is as much about decision-making and alignment as it is about screens.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Research & Insight Generation
- Lead and execute qualitative and quantitative research across discovery and delivery phases
- Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to define research goals tied to real product decisions
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, workflow validation, and concept testing with enterprise life sciences users
- Synthesize research into clear insights, opportunity areas, and experience principles
- Build and maintain personas, journey maps, and mental models that evolve with the product
Product Design & Experience Strategy
- Translate insights into end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
- Design for complex, role-based workflows involving data, content, and decision support
- Balance usability, scalability, and compliance considerations in design solutions
- Contribute to and uphold ACTO’s design system, patterns, and UX standards
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure designs are implementable and high-quality
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work as a true partner to Product Management, influencing roadmap and prioritization
- Clearly communicate research findings and design rationale to cross-functional teams
- Facilitate design reviews and align stakeholders around user-centered decisions
- Advocate for UX best practices while operating pragmatically within constraints
ABOUT YOU
- 4+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Design, or hybrid roles
- Strong grounding in UX research methods and usability principles
- Experience designing B2B or enterprise SaaS products
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, Healthcare, or regulated domains
- Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces and bring structure through research
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Portfolio demonstrating research depth and design execution, not just visuals
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with field-facing roles (sales reps, MSLs, trainers, etc.)
- Experience with data-heavy products, content platforms, or dashboards
- Exposure to UX analytics, experimentation, or continuous discovery practices
WHAT YOU’LL ENJOY ABOUT WORKING AT ACTO
- Industry leading, multiple award-winning technology
- Competitive compensation package
- Being part of a mission driven organization with the ability to drive solutions that focus on improving patient outcomes
- Results-driven and collaborative culture
- Remote work with opportunities for in-person collaboration
- Company MacBook
- Participation in group benefits plan
- Flexible PTO
