Overview:

The role of the Media Planning Assistant is to support the media planning team in developing media recommendations and plans. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media team to ensure the product is grounded in insights, experience and data, resulting in flawless media executions. The Media Planning Assistant works very closely with the Media Planner, reporting to the Director, Strategy & Planning.


Key Responsibilities:

Media Planning and Client Management

  • Gathering and analyzing data on media trends, audience demographics, and competitive landscape to help inform media planning strategies.
  • Assist in the development of media presentations as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain blocking charts
  • Campaign maintenance by ensuring quality control and adherence to overall media plan objectives and preparing campaign performance documents
  • Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities or POVs of interest to clients, fostering strong client relationships and respectful partner relationships through responsible, reliable, and resourceful interactions.

Vendor Management and Negotiations

  • Source and evaluate proposals from media partners as required.
  • Initiate and coordinate the media buying process across the SME’s in order to deliver exceptional results.
  • Remain up to date with latest updates from major media partners.

Finance & Reporting

  • Responsible for accurate and timely client finance reports and budget control reports (BCRs).
  • Ensure client budgets are managed and on track.
  • Work with Finance & Activation teams to ensure invoices are built as per alignment with Blocking charts and client alignment.
  • Support and collaborate with Activation teams in the creation of campaign post reports.

Others

  • Continue to proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape, staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma with a preferred focus on Media is an asset
  • Experience: 0-1 years

Notes:

  • This role does not qualify for LMIA
  • This hybrid role will require you to be in the Markham office eight days per month; our office is meant to be a space to collaborate and connect with other team members.


Salary:

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 per year, and individuals will be eligible to participate in our incentive program.
