Job Description

As a community Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting clients with respiratory conditions to achieve optimal breathing and overall health. You’ll work closely with patients in their homes, assessing respiratory needs, developing personalized care plans, and providing therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will help improve quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments for clients with chronic or acute conditions.
• Develop individualized respiratory care plans based on assessment findings.
• Provide evidence-based interventions, including oxygen therapy, airway clearance techniques, and ventilator management.
• Educate clients and families on respiratory health, equipment use, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
• Minimum of 12 months experience in home health or community-based settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
